If you’ve ever dreamed of a LEGO wonderland popping up in Tasmania, your patience is about to pay off.
Tasmania is finally getting its very first LEGO Certified Store, and it’s landing in Hobart this October.
No more planning fake vacations just to grab a few bricks—now, the world of colorful plastic blocks and epic builds will be part of my local shopping scene.
This isn’t just any store.
It’s set to be one of the biggest LEGO Certified Stores in Australia and New Zealand.
If you’re serious about your bricks (or just want to see what all the fuss is about), you’ll want to keep an eye on the buzz around Hobart this October.
Location and Opening Date
If you’re anywhere near Hobart, keep your eyes peeled for the new LEGO Certified Store on Elizabeth Street.
Right in Tasmania’s bustling retail heart near the waterfront, it’s not tucked away—you’ll probably trip over it if you’re not careful!
The store’s set to open its doors in October 2025, which is perfect timing to kick off some serious LEGO building before the holiday season.
This place spans 330 square meters.
That’s big enough to get lost in and still find your way back, unlike some of my LEGO creations.
Unique Features and Experiences
The Hobart LEGO Certified Store boasts some serious coolness like a ‘Pick and Build’ wall where you choose every single brick.
If you’re indecisive like me, it’s going to be a delightful challenge.
There’s also a Build a Minifigure Station.
You can make exclusive characters with parts you’d only usually dream of finding.
The store is packed with model displays celebrating Tasmanian landmarks and wildlife.
You might even see a LEGO Tasmanian devil—ironic but adorable.
Hands-on building zones mean you won’t be just standing around staring at bricks.
Partners and Store Expansion
The LEGO Group didn’t fly solo on this brick-tastic journey.
They teamed up with the Alquemie Group, which also operates the Tea Tree Plaza store and 21 others across Australia and New Zealand.
These folks really know how to make LEGO retail experiences pop.
This Hobart store marks the brand’s expansion into its sixth Australian state—Tasmania finally getting a spot on the LEGO map.
According to the Alquemie Group, this isn’t a one-off; more store openings are planned.
It’s probably the perfect time to jump on the LEGO bandwagon before it becomes totally mainstream.
Tasmanian Landmark Displays
The store doesn’t just sell LEGO; it will show off some local pride with special-scale builds of Tasmanian landmarks and wildlife.
